One of the greatest privileges of being a pastor is getting to know my amazing brothers and sisters in Christ. Then, when difficulty arises, I have the honor of walking beside them and supporting them through their valleys. It could be addiction, inter-personal struggles, a season of spiritual dryness, or any number of challenges in their life. I have been called to lean in here. This is why I stepped away from church ministry: because of my passion for walking in a focused, one-on-one fashion with the family of God when they were struggling. My goal is to draw on my years of personal experience as a follower of Jesus and ministry leader to support you in your pursuit of Jesus. Marriage Coaching

News Alert....Marriage is hard! I know this firsthand as I have been joyfully married for 23 years, and it has been a journey of learning! However, in my early 20s, I was in a non-Christ-centered marriage, which ended tragically in divorce. In the aftermath of my brokenness, I recommitted my life to Christ and sought biblical counseling and mentoring, which profoundly changed my life. In fact, had I known what I know now during my first marriage, it could likely have been saved. SO, don't give up, there is hope that can change your life and marriage. Pornography and Sexual Addiction

In my early 20's, I was addicted to pornography. This battle raged until I fully surrendered my brokenness to the Lord, reached out for help, and found support through accountability and counseling. Now I know personally which programs, processes, and disciplines have not only set me free from addiction but helped many do the same. Please don't waste another minute in the sin, shame, confess, and repeat cycle. Let's work together to break this stronghold once and for all! Biblical Mentoring and Discipleship

Over my lifetime, I have benefited from an amazing earthly father & mother, outstanding pastors, inspiring coaches, and true friends who have helped guide and shape me more and more into the character of Christ. Sadly, this level of intentional guidance seems to be a thing of the past. This should not be so. For me, however, I am committed to building into the lives of others so that they may grow closer to Christ and become increasingly like Him. Pre-Marital Counseling

Somehow, we expect our young adults to just magically know how to be great spouses and Christ-honoring partners. This all the while as our minds and expectations have been deformed by a culture that prizes the individual and relationships of convenience so long as their own needs are being met. THIS IS SILLY! Instead, we, as followers of Jesus, must be willing to find biblical models to imitate in marital union, be open to the hard work of refinement in marriage, and seek guidance before saying "I do". I have met with far too many couples after they hit a crisis season, and I wish I could have met them before they married. Fire Service Mentoring

While fire service mentoring is outside of the traditional "counseling arena," it is near and dear to my heart. As a young man pursuing a career in the fire service, I benefited immensely from the mentors who helped me. Now, I enjoy building relationships, discovering giftedness, and developing a collaborative plan to help others realize their fire service calling. Additionally, for those already in the fire service, I have mentored and trained countless fire officer candidates and chief officers in preparation for promotional exams. Every good firefighter knows that you never go it alone; we need each other. I deeply enjoy giving back in this area, so please give me a call and let's work on a plan together!
